Volunteer Guidelines:

  • A member should volunteer a minimum of 20 hours in a year.

  • Highly recommend attending YUVA monthly meetings without fail.

  • Announcements will be communicated through email and the TATA YUVA website.

  • Before volunteering, you must sign up for an event listed by TATA YUVA; otherwise, the hours will not be awarded.

  • On the event day, volunteers will be responsible for check-in / check-out with the event coordinator.

  • Hours will be logged based on signup and check-in/check-out times for each event.

  • For team meetings, Halftime of the attendance is considered for volunteer hours.

  • If volunteers fail to check in / check out, it will be assumed that the volunteer did not attend the event.

  • If a member misses three consecutive events they signed up for, He/she cannot sign up for the next two events.

  • Any in-disciplinary actions by YUVA members anywhere during the events or team meetings are intolerable and will result in expulsion from YUVA.

NEGATIVE HOURS POLICY:

  • We will reduce an hour from acquired volunteer hours if members sign up and do not show up for the event without prior notice.

CERTIFICATES:

  • Volunteers will receive TATA certificates at the end of the year for the volunteer hours they contributed through TATA YUVA events.

  • Depending on the request from YUVA members/parents, TATA will apply for the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for all members who meet the PVSA eligibility criteria. Members are responsible for paying the PVSA fee.
